I am buying a athlon 64 sff pc and to complete it I wanted to buy a x800 pro, but im wondering if it will fit inside most of the sff pcs. Anyone done it?

9800XT fits as well. Well, for a Shuttle SN85G4 its not a problem.

Alright how about the power supply? I havent seen any SFF systems with one above 300.

Pro yes, XT no I believe has been the rumor...

X800 Pro and X800 XT is exactly the same board every component is in the same spot so you could also put an XT in the SFF

The power supplies in most SFFs are as efficient as they come. That's how you get away with a 250W supply.

crunch your numbers here:

pay more attention to the amp totals than the wattage totals. Power supply manufacturers tend to "fudge" on wattage output. 250 watts is about as big as you get in a SFF system unless you are looking at an Antec Aria (has a 300 watt). Also, the next gen Shuttle based on the Intel 925 chipset will sport a 350 watt power supply. I guess that doesn't help you either

anyone know if the slim-line (single slot) 6800 Ultras will fit in a Shuttle?

they should fit but I'm wondering because of the size of the coolers on them cards.

The 6800GT's will fit in the Shuttle boxes just fine. There's a thread over at Sudhian discussing a couple of people that got their pre-ordered GT cards in and they seem to work fine in the Shuttle box. Now the Ultra on the other hand... ;)
