Can you debezel an LED?

I'm wondering if it's possible to debezel and LED. I read that the backlights are around the edges, so I'm afraid that if I pry off the bezel I may ruin it. When searching youtube the only videos I can find of taking apart a monitor are all regular LCD.

There should still be a self-contained bezel around the LCD panel containing the LED backlights I'd have thought.. I doubt many manufacturers want a panel supplied where they have to then jury rig their own back-lighting system.

I've not seen one stripped either, but it's hardly radically different tech to LCD with CCFL backlights..

Does anyone have more insight on this? I'm about to try it tomorrow. If successful I'll try to post a video just so people can see how it looks.
