Can you adjust 2405FPW's stand (Lower?)

Yes, on the bottom of the back is a button. Push it in and then push the top down, you will need to give it a little force, it won't just go down easily.

No problem. I got mine yesterday and have no problems at all as well. Love it, especially coming from a Samsung 213T.
