I'm unable to pullup website 192.168.1.254 I have a motorola modem through at&t dsl. Everything is running smooth. But for some reason i can't access that page. When i enter it in the address bar at the bottom of IE screen i get 5 green lights and thats it. It won't go any further. No i don't have a router. No i didn't mess with firewall or antivirus. Just wondering why it won't pull that up. Thanks. What could be blocking it.
 
is that your gateway?

go to start > run > cmd type in ipconfig

hit the gateway address in IE that will give you the modem.
 
Not necessarily. If the modem doesn't have a router built in, the IP address will be assigned to the host connected to the modem. In that case, if you are not using a router, and are plugging a laptop directly into the modem, the gateway IP address you get is the IP address of your ISP's router, not one in your home.

IIRC, with my toshiba modem, I have to set my computer's IP address to something on a specific subnet, connect to the modem, power cycle the modem, and hit a URI with a browser while it's booting. If you wait too long you can't get in. And if you use DHCP, you won't be on the right subnet.
