can someone block my e-mail with aol/

i tried to e-mail someone that has an aol address and it bounced back saying the address doesn't exist. does aol have a block list that will do this if the person puts your e-mail address in there? or am i being paranoid and something wasn't working right for some reason.. i highly doubt this person got rid of their aol account.. they probably had it for years won't just get rid of it one day.

Yes it's quite easy to do that with AOL.

That's exactly what it does. It makes it look like an nonexistant e-mail address.
