I currently have a 6600GT and it works fine.
I have 2 fans in the case as well, one to bring in air from the bottom one to get it out at the rear.
If my system can't support the x1950 do you guys think it can support a 7600GT by nvidia?
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

If you want to get a x1950 or any better card rather you will need a new PSU I'd suggest getting the Thermaltake Power Express because it only powers the video card so you won't have to dish out 90-120 bucks for a good PSU the Thermaltake PSU is only 50 dollars and it fits in the 5.25" drive bays!

that thermaltake power express does it come in a size larger than 350watts? cause Ive read the 1950 is a amp hungry puppy and the min should be around 500 watts with 3X amps on the 12volt. Am I incorrect in this?

That's only with a Regular PSU will you need a large one... I have an x1950 with the thermaltake and it powers it perfectly without hiccups.

This seemed like an awesome solution genocide but I forgot to mention i'm stuck in AGP land for at least another year....the suggestion you made seems to be made for PCI-E. sigh! Am I just screwed?

any suggestions for a mobo or do you know any sites that would sell like a combo deal for a intel core duo and a mobo othat is pci-e?
