I have an Ultra XVS 500w PSU.
Currently running the sig in my rig.
Was thinking of grabbing a 2nd 6850. But wasn't sure if my PSU could handle both.

Under full load you are pushing the limits of what your PSU can handle if not going over them. I would suggest getting a decent 650w PSU when you buy the second card just in case you want to add stuff later.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking is just going for the 2nd card then dealing with the PSU later :p

Try it, if it does not work out replace your PSU.

Bad idea. Overloading your PSU can work but cause weird hardware issues. 2 x 6850 will likely be too close to the rated 500 watts of your PSU and you are likely to regret it later. You'll think things are working fine, but you're likely to see crashing games or weird performance problems that are really hard to pin down. I've been there.

Just bite the bullet and get a new power supply.

I do plan on getting a new PSU. I was just thinking of grabbing the 2nd video card first then grabbing the PSU in a few weeks.

Two 6850's alone will pull 250w running fully loaded while bitmining, but would be less while gaming. Your cpu is unlocked to a full blown X4 and I believe that is a TDP of 140w. If you run everything at full load you would be at the top end of the 12v wattage on that PSU. I wouldn't recommend it.

good. Follow the instructions. Probably the major reason why most people don't get their rebates is because they can't even read/follow the directions.

yea...it's out of laziness and don't read. Rebates can always offer great savings. I think for the extra few minutes you spend doing them, usually worth it.

Alright Maybe I'll go the new PSU and a new case route for now then grab a 6850 next month. Kinda tired of my Antec 900.
