as you can tell from the pic, my 4850's are sandwhiched together and if i want a better cooling solution it would have to be single slot. i looked at some w/b's but it is hard to tell if they would fit. does anyone have any experiance trying to w/c vidcards that required the w/b to fit in a single slot? i have w/c'ed before but nothing this cramped. worst case scenario i could just upgrade my case fans higher cfm ratings and seeing as how the system is noisy already it would not be a big deal. i just want to keep the cards cool.

Actually I think you would be better off for cost and performance to just move up to a larger case, not a full tower but a regular mid tower would help.
 
Grab 2 of these, a pump a res and a rad (120.1 should be fine) and some tubing (get the good stuff the first time) that rear fan apperes to be a 120, so you could just use it to move the air over the rad, 2 holes in the mesh right next to the vid cards if you want to mount the rad externally (it could be done internally as well, looks like you have planty of room) the way these mount it should clear your HDD controller card (for the barbs ect) and they dont intrude on the next slot (i.e. they are considered single slot coolers)

there is some compatability issues with certain cards make sure yours isnt on that list (mount holes dont line up...)

the downside to setting up watercooling is the initail cost by my rought math your looking at about 450$ just to cool 2 vid cards (not including shipping) you might be able to get bits and pieces cheaper here and there, but i doubt you'll save much more than 10-15$ over the whole build cost. but.. if you spend juat a tad bit more, about 530$ gets you a cpu block and a 120.3 (which is more and enought to cool cpu nb and gpu*4
 
damn, you got my hopes up. i would have only needed to buy the blocks since i have everything else but my 4850's are the asus that they mention. :(

what about their "lowprofile" blocks?

Heh, I'm in a similar boat.. I have the Asus 4850, and haven't been able to find a full cover block that is compatible yet.
