Last night my processor and motherboard both fried. I'm still not really sure what happened, but I know I have to replace them. I don't mind that so much, since I was planning on an upgrade.

Problem is, now I've got a raid (just 2 80 gb wd's) that I don't know how to get into. I don't even necessarily want to save the information on the hard drives, but is there any way I could wipe the raid off of them and have blank drives?

I'd like to use them still. I don't really want to spend another 40 bucks for another hard drive when I have to buy a new mobo, processor, and probably ram (mobo I have now isn't being sold anywhere I know of anymore).

It depends on what took out the mobo, if it all fried then it may have also fried the drives. Assuming the drives are fine physically then just take them out and format them like normal.

Depending on the level of raid how you set it up you may even be able to retrieve the data off them.
