Can I make a Shuttle PC work for me?

I'm starting a new PC build for myself to move into a new apartment and the idea of a SFF computer just really fits my needs. I have a powerful laptop but want a desktop config in my apartment as well. The only part I'm migrating from my older PC is my video card a 5870

My question is will it be doable? I plan on buying just a 1 TB drive and the following Shuttle barebone:

Does anyone have experiences with putting a high end ATI or NVidia card into one of these barebones?

I don't think it'll work. The 300w PSU isn't enough for a 5870.

If you check out Sudhian forums http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/forums/ they are saying that shuttle will run a gtx260 just fine so I don't see a problem using a 5870 in it. Shuttle power supplies are very capable. I had a shuttle sg45h7 which also has a 300 watt power supply for quite a while and ran a 4870 in it for some time with out issue before going to the 5770.

I don't know if your dead set on a 5870, but the shuttle should do fine with a 5850 or maybe even a 6870, but I would assume that you should be around a 325 watt max power draw even with a 5870, more in the 250 to 275 with the 5850. The power supplies are underrated on the shuttles in general but I would guess that capacitor aging might come into play years down the line. FYI if you check out the hotdeals forums there is a 6870 for 206 AR at amazon now :)
