Could I get the Xclio 500w or would I be much better off with the Corsair 520? Do I need to go any higher than the 520?

Rig to be... most likely

Centurian Case (or equivalent)
DS3R mobo
4 gigs OZ Ram
Q6600 (overclocked to 3.2ghz max, maybe not at all)
Cheaper $100 Gpu (maybe a 7600)
2 dvd burners
2 500 gig hds

Thanks

Ryan

either will be fine, but the Corsair is much better.

Without a high end GPU, you won't have to worry about higher than 500w. Really maybe closer to 300 something..

You planning on adding in a card later?

do yourself a favor and go with quality psu from the begining, go with the corsair

The Xclio should be fine, they are pretty decent PSUs, but the Corsair is better. Depends on your budget.

I will probably NEVER add in a higher end GPU to this machine. This is going to be a Photoshop rig primarily and webstuff also. I usually keep my machines for 4-5 years.

I just figure if I could use the Xclio and it would be fine that would work. I would rather NOT spend the extra $50, but if it's THAT much better I would.
