hey,

i have my xbox 360 plugged into my computer monitor (samsung 216bw), but like i expected when i use 1920x1080 as the resolution it goes off the screen on all sides...
but, my monitor also has a auto adjust button, and when i pushed that it condences the picture to fit the entire screen, but dosent keep it and goes back to going off the screen. my question is, is there any way i can get this resolution to work properly on my monitor?

EDIT: it only condense's the picture when im playing gears of war for some reason, no other games do it

Just so you'll know...your monitor has a native res of 1680x1050 which is also the MAXIMUM res that you can display. 1920x1080 isn't possible. If the Sammy does a good job of scaling then just use the highest widescreen res available under 1680x1050... (1360x768 iirc..) this is what I do on my 2007WFP and it looks fine.

a bigger resolution might be possible, but most monitors will not downscale, they will simply have the sides cut off or you'll have to crawl around the desktop and never see all of it at once
