Is there anyone in or near Montgomery, AL that would be willing to let me borrow a psu while I send my loud, rattling, POS Silverstone off for RMA? I don't know if I can make it 2-4 weeks without my sig rig and I just can't bring myself to buying another one. I know it's a long shot but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yeah, I should have never gotten rid of my last one. Not having a spare sucks.

I just broke down and bought a new one. Gonna try a Corsair this time around. Silverstone probably just lost a customer.

Even Corsair has some bad units, but their RMA service is excellent.

I'll probably keep it after it's rma'd so I don't run into this problem again. I don't mind sending stuff back to get it fixed as long as I have a backup. If the Corsair works out for a while, I'll probably end up selling the Silverstone.

The best part about getting the new psu is that I told the wife it was really expensive and ordered an SSD to go with it :D

The Silverstone I have has been a POS so I'd beg to differ. And when I buy a product from a company, I don't expect it to go bad. You're right, sometimes it happens, but I don't expect it to go bad. Anyway, it's done now.
