Can boot Ubuntu w/ USB keyboard, but not XP??

I'm having an EXTREMELY weird issue. I replaced my old PS/2 keyboard with a Razer Tarantula keyboard. Accordingly, I changed my BIOS to enable a USB keyboard. Ever since then, I can boot Ubuntu 7.10 fine and everything works great. However, with a USB keyboard enabled in BIOS, I can not get passed the XP x64 splash screen. I even tried my roommate's USB keyboard and the same thing happened. The XP x64 splash screen can be seen for 1 or 2 seconds, then the system reboots. If I reset BIOS to disable USB keyboards, XP x64 works again (even if I leave the Razer plugged in). Has anyone ever heard of this before?? This is extremely strange.

Thanks,

Try disabling the bios usb keyboard option. That might let windows boot, but the keyboard may not be functional until the USB hid/kb drivers load. I think the bios option emulates a ps2 keyboard for older os's.
