Can ATI's drivers cause this problem?

I just recently brought Far Cry. I been playing it fine for the first day or so. Then everytime I try to load my save point, my computer restarts. I know drivers can cause games to crash to the desktop, so im wondering if ATI's drivers can cause Far Cry to totally restart my computer? If not, then im pretty sure its a memory error, since I just put another gig of ram in my computer 3 weeks ago. So im just making sure its not a driver related problem, before I start messing with the memory to see if a stick is bad.

I was having issues like this as well. Not exactly but kinda. I was experiencing some hardlocks and such after I added another gig of ram to my system. One gig was mushkin, the other ocz, both pc3500. I have since removed the added gig and the machine has been running without a lockup for a couple days now. Take out the added memory and see if the problem reoccurs. Good luck.

That can happen when you just put the sticks in and that's it. Usually i found that when you mix brands/add ram it was best to clear CMOS and go to manaul settings in the bios for the ram (not auto detect) and find a "balance" that both sticks will run ok at.
