Can anyone get DOOM to run in 21:9 mode? I cant get to work

I'm trying to 3440X1440 res to work on my Predator, ive tried the Right Click option in the Steam Library and tired to tweak the Launch options with this
g+set r_mode -1 +set r_customwidth 3440 +set r_customheight 1440 but it doesn't help.
 
Ok I know this probably comes off as a bad thing to ask, but did you notice the separate setting for aspect ratio from resolution? I don't have a 21:9 monitor but I did see that aspect setting and thought it was unusual.
 
Ok I found it, I didn't realize you can keep scolling down!!! Now I need to figure out how to adjust the Brightness. I made it too dark when I started the game and there is no options.
 
I saw it right away on mine, it was confusing as I feel like most other modern games just had 3440x1440 listed without having to change the aspect ratio prior. I think mine was originally stuck on like 16:9 or something and I almost flipped out when I thought it didnt support my reso, lol.
