if we get an amd 3800 let's say, with 1gb pc3200 of rams
at what bus speed the system will run?
the answer is 400(same speed as the speed of rams)

if we get an intel 3.4 with 1 gb 800MHZ of rams
wouldnt be faster than the amd in this case?

Can anyone double post?

It doesnt work this way. If your talking about procesor speeds, you cant directly compare AMD/Intel.

Back to the major rant... DONT DOUBLE POST!

what i meant, if u take for example a p4 1.2 @ 400bus speed it is muc faster than @ 200bus speed
can u see my point?

P4's run at a quad-pumped BUS speed. That means the FSB speed you see listed is actually 4x what the real speed is. A P4 with 800MHz FSB has the bus running at 200MHz.

The AMD's are only double-pumped. That means an AMD with an FSB of 400MHz also has a bus running at 200MHz

Haha, he's said exactly the same things in both threads, right down to all the misspellings. :D
