I have a dual socket Quad core system coming in and Im wondering if I can use Windows XP?

Would vista make better use of the cpu's?

Raid 0 WD Raptors

Windows XP Home is only licensed for 1 socket, while XP Pro can use 2. I'm not sure what the terms are for Vista.

Vista Home basic will be limited to one sockets. I believe they changed the terms on home premium to allow for 2 sockets, to be consistent with XP MCE. Business/Enterprise and Ultimate will all support 2 sockets also.

I heard of the VistaHP change from 1 socket to 2 as well.
