Camo Case Mods?? Such thing??

Anyone ever seen any camo case mods?? Id love to see some, I need some idears for my upcomming mod!​
 
This is an idea that I have been mulling over for quite some time as I have several ammo cans around here. The 20mm cans have very similar dimensions as an ATX mid tower except for the height.

Would be great to make some sort of internal frame & attach the entire guts of the computer to the underside of the lid. Undo the lever locks and everything slides out with the lid leaving an empty can.

After some time I decided against it. Would take a lot of cutting to make it work. And these things are not exactly thin gauge metal. With the amount of work required, I would rather design my own case from scratch with 20ga steel or 16ga aluminum. But that is just me.
 
I did mine in a cammo, kinda urban/snow look.

Things to remember when doing camo style painting.

Sand down ALOT... if you don't when you pull masking tape off, sometimes paint comes with it. I think this is more so a case for this since sometimes you end up taping an area 3-4 times if not more when doing the cammo pattern.

Don't press down too hard with your x-acto knife when cutting out the patterns

Match paints. All glossy, or all matte... Doesn't look great when you mix them (like I thought it would)

Make sure said paints all work on plastics as well (if your case has plastic) I had one that didn't and it was a pain to work with.

Be more patient then I was :)
 
Never said it was an ammo can :p

There are a few ammo box mods out there, but you have to go search for them
 
Yeah man, I know you didn't say ammo can. Given the subject of the thread I assumed that is what you meant. My mistake. :p
 
This is one of the coolest case ideas that I've seen. You'd have to find a way to get the Hard hat cover in their some how with watercooling underneath or something of that nature.

I love the OD green color, and my case didn't exactly turn out OD, but it's close, and the flash on the camera lightened it up a bit
