so i want to buy my girlfriend a digital camera for christmas and I'm thinking she really doesn''t anything above a 4 megapixel. i wanted to know if anyone has any ideas on a nice small camera (easy to carry), nice quality, 3-4 megapixels. I'm in college so I'm pretty broke and don't want to spend over 200 dollars.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check out the Coolpix 4200 or 4600 (I can't remember which one, but I think they are pretty much the same)... It's real small and takes pretty decent pictures (also video).

I got my gf a nikon 5200 for 200 even and she loves it. 5 MP so great for prints and takes some good movies when she is out with friends and all. Plus it's small and easily fits in small purses and stuff.

Canon Powershot A85 rocks the house. At least I think it does. :D

I just bought my girl a Nikon D50 for Christmas. She better love it.

what about holiday deals? do digital cameras ever get marked down around christmas to anyones knowledge?

Girl's don't really know or care anyways. If it takes pictures and is easy to use they like it. I don't know why we spend the money we do on them.:D This christmas I'm buying jewelry for under $10 and putting it in a zales or Kay jewelry box and seeing if she knows. :p
