Well since there isnt a camera forum guess this is best place to post? I have a Canon SD200 finaly, well tomorrow anyhoo, and wondering if a 1 gig 66x SD card will be fine with it on auto detect? anyone have any of the digital eplhs and have problems with matching memory sticks?

What makes you think you would have compatibility problems with an SD card?


SD is a universal standard format.
 
Well not really problems, but i hear sometimes with cameras it can have problems deceting if its larger than __ mb's or something?

You should be fine. Usually the problems occur with larger than 1gb sticks. Generally CF II thou.
 
I've got an SD300 and it says something like certified for 512Mb CD, but I have a 1Gb SD card in there and it works fine. And its GREAT having that much capacity (about 500pics).

Not as good as my old S45 + 4Gb compact flash (like 2000 pics!), but still damn good
 
Okies so i should be ok, its a Ridata 1 gig 66x SD card, newegg had some deal on it, so i scooped it up, SD200 should be here tomorrow :D get to play around with it, any advice? im a big n00b on digi cams, but i know i want to keep it at max rez, but anything else i can do to make pictures look crisp and clear? mainly doing family/friends/cars i see things like that so basicly point and shoot, and some movies, any advice on what settings should be at, or if i should just play with settings, thanks for help and advice so far
