Totally new to video photog. Just picked up a Canon Vixia HF200. We wanted something to capture the moments of our soon-to-arrive daughter.

So any tips? Ive got a 16GB Class 4 card in it right now, no other accessories.

I just bought one of these. Great little camera and I would suggest getting at least the 32GB card.
 
monopod. 20 bucks and will save you headaches later when watching blurry and shaky videos ;)
