I see....the Force is strong with this one. ;) I guess I'm going to have to quit coasting and put it into overdrive...This does kind of remind me of a couple weeks ago when Sunin kept flashing up in my rearview mirror, seems like he and I were around the same point difference then, and I had to pull away from him. :D

Firing up the Deep Purple and tightning up the straps!!!

LOL that won't be for long Axdrenalin! My 4th Q6600 goes online tonight. I also bought 2 more TRUE's to ensure my OC's on an older Quad and this new quad hit 3.6Ghz stable. I'm still waiting on buy.com with my 9450. If it doesn't ship this week I'm buying a Q6600 just to hold me over... which will be water cooled!

So my 12k PPD avg should be jumping to around 20k within the next week... Bigger Steam Roller!!!

Plus I'm addressing my network stability which should allow my base 12k to truly produce the 17k per day AVG it is capable of!

I see what you did and I will up the ante with 4 Q6600 at home + a few C2D computers at work :D I might even get a Q9450 for my main PC (I'm currently hunting for a 2x2GB Mushkin Redline PC2-8000 so I can run at 3.6 8x450 and beyond). However, nopt sure about when since I'm putting the final touch for my new condo that I will be buying.

Thinking about that, are you my alter ego ??

Funny thing is I am also saving up to buy my condo I am renting currently... so um that is scary! This is also it for me for a year! Unless my bonus or tax incentive check is just too much to resist. :)

Ah screw it, just ordered my 5th Q6600. I figure I can use it on my Gaming rig until the 9450 comes then transplant the Q6600 into my HTPC and sell off the E6600 to someone here. Its lapped, it runs cool at 3.6Ghz, I'm sure someone will want that Dual core... I'd even sell it dirt cheap to someone like Crazy Larry Since he seems to be very froogle! But he would have to promise to get a TRUE and use it at 3.6Ghz :)

Or at least beef it up which I did today. Installed a linksys RV016 Router. I'm going to disable DHCP shortly and start manually assigning them. I added a 4th Quad last night and I'm in the middle of installing a Q6600 in my HTPC and moving the E6600 into the 780i mobo until the Q9450 arrives.

Managed to do the network router switch over without losing a single smp :eek:

Right now it is showing 18892 PPD via FahMon +900 PPD PS3 (19800PPD) with several slower work units and that does not take into account the HTCP changes which are in process. I'm hoping to be in the 20-24k range based on a random sample of WU's by the end of the day.

Don't feel alone... At my place, while they don't mind me folding on pre-production machines, some policy changes (to follow the LUA system) is limiting me from having more than a few boxes without running out of logins count. I need 1 free so I can do tech support, 1 for my office computer and I'm limited to 5 total. They also killed off another account which I use often for testing, claiming it's useless and I cannot argue with the security group.

This is why I decided to concentrate on the home farm so I have 100% control and 100% permission. Still, I can expect up to 5-7K ppd from work (laptops have wifi so I can run them without using up my login count and the 3-4 boxes is still folding). My final goal is to stay in the top 10 in PPD... Right now, I'm still doing 10k ppd from work since I'm in a free ride until the box is shut down then I cannot log back up.

I was wondering when you were going to ramp up. I checked this morning and the time frame to catch you was down to 2.8 weeks (after my 28k PPD production day I had yesterday, according to OC.NET). :D

Wow... what does this put you up to as far as various boxen? You may just make me have to spend my $600 gov't check on another Q6600. Can't have you pulling away on me.

And here I was, cruising along for the last month with out a threat.
Holy crap, Axdren way to ramp up, starting to show up in rear view, WTF.
I see a lot of action back there, things getting mighty interesting.
All that talk about chips, makes me want to break out the dip.
Maybe Sunin will get his production woes straighten out :D

farm, once that 9450 comes in.:D

 
Nice I'd have to up my farm by 3 more Quads to match that... I'm not doing that any time soon. I might add one more in the next 2 months, but after that it will be slower expansion. I'm trying to focus on stability right now. If I can get that squared away then I'll think of adding another.

Nope, Waiting on the darn heatsinks ....
I purchased them from NCIX_Outlet on Ebay ....about a week ago..

Others that have purchased them before and after me go them .. but not me ...
About ready to file a report ....

But even with the new ones .... i have this feeling you are gonna pass me ...

You are pulling 28K per day ......
I think the most I can pull is around 25K when these come online ...

It's testing right now with a lapped e4300 @ 3Ghz, I'm double checking stability and temps. I really need to get me a better HSF to put on the CPU at those temps though, because it runs constant 66-67C with the one I'm using right now, which I'm a little uncomfortable with. Once I get those things worked out and running stable, I'm going to be loading up Linux and cranking another SMP on it to fold with.

Its pretty impressive for a budget board. :D

What about ram? did you go with 512Mb or 1Gb to keep with the budget theme? (seems like you have a ram overkill with most of your boxen)

Testing with one gig at the moment, but have four more enroute, so I'll probably keep two gigs in it like the rest. Haven't figured out of its dual channel capable or just single yet, but that won't take long once my sticks come in. ;) I need to update the BIOS In it as well, as I haven't done that yet either.


 
I knew Axdrenalin was a folding monster. At the moment he is the #2 folder for the [H]orde!! I know other folks are reworking their systems currently but this is no small thing here. Congratulations Axdrenalin.

You know, I'm getting sick and tired of this database error crap...What's going on with the forums lately????

Anyways, since I lost my whole original text that I tried to post a few minutes ago....

Thanks for the encouragment, but there is no way I would be second on that list if lelliot's and mklinger's production had not slipped. Last week they were 2-3k PPD ahead of me in production, and with Evil and Sunin ramping up I might not even be able to stay ahead of them. Regardless, all this ramping up and production is great not only for the team, but for Stanford, Science and the Folding project as well. Hopefully, it will help them to find a solution to some of these issues that we're all facing.....

At 800,000 points per month, its going to be hard to compete with Axdrenalin.

Ax how many PC's do you have folding now? Or how many Ghz, if you added up all the cores, etc?!

I'll have to sit down one day and figure it all up. Right now, if I treat each core as a seperate unit (i.e. 1 quad @ 3Ghz = 12 Ghz) It looks like I'm running 64.6 Ghz at home, and another 50.8+ Ghz at the office. I don't have all my machines tallied up at the office right now. ;) The majority of them there at 1.8 Ghz P4 class boxes, with some 2.4 to 3.4 Ghz boxen thrown in the mix all running the 5.04 Console client, where all mine at the house are running SMP.

Looks like thats about 114 Ghz or so right now, not counting all the other misc boxen I have spread out through work. ;)

I'm still tinkering around with that MB and an e4300 / 2gigs PC1066 Ballistix and Linux right now. Haven't had a lot of time recently between work and getting the wife a new vehicle, so hopefully things will calm down enough soon so I can spend some more time on it.

Evil is still holding his own, and you can tell he's ramped up recently now that he has all his parts. I still think its just a matter of time....;)

Edit: Oh, and for the record *cough* IT IS DONE... *cough*
