Hey guys, I just built a system tonight, I need help configuring MBM5. I'm running a XP-M 2500+ on a DFI NFII Ultra Infinity.

I've installed the program, but I've no idea how to properly configure the sensors? to get accurate readings. I want to monitor case temperature and cpu temperature.

I currently have three readings: 18C (CPU in blue) 35C (CPU in red), and 28C (Case in black).

WTF is going on? Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you have the necessary sensors, judging by your temps. If you go to the MBM web site, they should have a listing for your board as to which sensor goes to what location. For now, I'd say 18C is your case temp. Normally case temps are lower, that's why. Your CPU socket might be the 28C with the diode being 35C. The MBM web site should be able to help better than I can, but that's at least the general idea.

AFAICT I have configured the case and two cpu sensors correctly (using the info from the MBM site). I just don't understand the disparity between the two cpu sensors. Which one do I believe?

That is not what is happening, he does not have two sensors on the core.

my motherboard has two three sensors total as well. as stated above socket, diode, and case. but my lowest one is the case.

Usually when you install MBM, it puts 3 temps in your system tray. The CPU probe temp, the chipset (NB) temp, and a case/ambient temp. You are getting different numbers because they are all reading different things from your motherboard. If you only want to moniter case and cpu, check the MBM website to see which sensors to use, leave the others blank, and only chose to display the CPU and case temps in the system tray. Spend a few minutes playing around with the MBM options and you will figure everything out.

whats the difference between MBM5 and winbound, My DFI II INfinity came with winbound.

i believe windond is the sensor chip, not a prog - my advice, install the temp mon prog the modo came with, then merely compare it to MBM5 until you think you have em labeled right, they should be the same as they are both reading the same temp sensor on the mobo......
