Call of Duty Fatal Error....?

Every time I try and load up CoD Multiplayer I get this error: Couldn't load default_mp.cfg. Make sure Call of Duty is run from the correct folder......I've tried reinstalling, patching, not patching and I keep getting the error, If someone knows how to fix it, it would be awesome for them to give me so help...thanxs in advance for all the helpful relpies....

Hi- make sure to clean out any conflicting map or ammo pak files you may have downloaded. If you want to reninstall it again make sure you douche your COD folder of any non-stock pak files, or carefully cherry pick the ones you want to save separately and then put them back in the 'main' folder after reinstall.

If that doesn't do it you may have a registry problem and may want to do a system restore in case something you put on your pc fouled things up.

It's no biggie- I've had it happen, especially with auto-download enabled and going to different servers. Just check those pak files for conflicts.
