Calibrating

I just calibrated my NEC2490wuxi with the spectraview II and eyeone display 2 and see a very ,very slight difference. Either I'm doing something wrong or the monitor comes real close to calibration from the factory. Don't get me wrong it looks good both ways just wondering if I wasted my money on the calibrator. Has anyone else found that there is not much difference? Pictures print out the same both ways.
