It was 1 year ago when i last calibrated my unit, and now i dont know should i just re-calibrate, or reset the monitor to defaults before? the monitor is already calibrated before 2 times, but long time ago i was using maximum contrast settings back then.

So now, can i adjust the brightness level after the calibration? or i should beofre, after i reset my unit to defaults? i got my unit at 25% brightness atm, any tips in order to make good calibration would be welcome, im mostly intereseted in maximum black level/contrast, thanks!

Btw i'm Using Spectraview software, with X-rite calibrator.

I have experimented with that.
SV calibrated 2490WUXi to desirable values regardless starting settings.
You can check it yourself. Calibrate and measure.
The first hand source of answers is right in front of you.:)
Just clean up (reset) your videocard.
Retrieve the old calibration you liked and validate it (test and report). May be it's still very good.

Just run it again. Since you're using the right hardware and software for the display it is point-and-shoot, plug-and-play, whatever you want to call it. :)
