Calendar extention for Thunderbird 1.0?

Are there any calendar programs for Thunderbird 1.0? We use Thunderbird 0.8 at work and the calendar extension. TB 0.8 sucks ass. It's slow to open, the calendar is laggy and I friggin hate it. I can't upgrade to 1.0 because the stupid calendar extention doesn't work.

Anyone offer any help?

I saw Sunbird, but I'm not going to run 0.2 of any software.

Sunbird's kind of stalled.

The Mozilla guys are working on a calendar add-on for Thunderbird called Lightning. It's due out sometime this summer.
