My P4 processor has 1MB Cache and it doesn't work in my motherboard.
My celeron processor has 512KB Cache and it does work in my mobo.
Could my cache problem be the reason the P4 isn't working.
 
Don't double post, it's rude.

As for your problem, look for newer bios updates for your motherboard. If it doesnt support newer cores, you SOL. If it does support newer cores, upgrade the bios and be happy (unless you just have a bad CPU).
