I bought a Antec Super Lanboy case last week and then an Enermax 460w psu yesterday. Thing is the Enermax has sooo many cables I've got no idea what the best way to go about cabling is. I can usually spend an hrs easy doing up my cables and hiding them but then I've always been use to a cheapo 400w psu. How are some of you doing your cabling. Any pics you can show? Thanks in advance.
 
First off - its best to sleeve your PSU, its cheap - improves airflow - and looks sweet. you can get sleeving kits (that sleeving everything and then-some) fro around $9.00.

Black is easy to hide, making your cables near-invisable - or you can get a color to get more color in your case (most are UV as well, so pick up some UV cold cathodes).

After its sleeved, you basicly reroute all your wires BEHIND the motherboard tray, like this:

Sadly there isn't much room to route cables behind the mobo tray...it's quite the pinch.
 
Trust me, it can be done. I have about 1/2 an inch behind my mobo to stick all the cables before they get routed back through a hole or over the mobo to get plugged in. In my case (pun), i have to really bend the back panel to get things on, but its the crappy interlocking design, so your Lanboy will be better. Just put the cables behind like Faulty not bunched up, individually pulled down behind the mobo.

Itll work, just look through the rate my cables to get some ideas (thats what I did).
 
My mobo tray is part of the whole case, so I cant get any damn cables behind it. Well, cables can fit behind it, as there is about an inch of room, but the top and bottom of the case are connected to the mobo tray. Therefore, I'll have to drill holes to do any good cable hiding. :( :mad:
 
well I though he has a Super Lanboy as well...making it much easier. I have seen that thread, but I'm not going to go through 55 pages just to find one lanboy...
 
I just cut the unused wires from mine, I may unsolder them on my next PSU (ditching POS antec that came w/ my case). If the Lan Boy is like the SLK3700, pull off the right side and there is a slot to the rear of the PSU, alot of wires can be fed through there.
 
Another vote for triming the wires. It's really easy, just cut the wires, put some tape around the end of each wire and push it back into the psu. That's how I got my thermaltake 680w purepower looking decent....it had sooooo many cables :eek:

Try 1/2 inch of space, unless youve had some experience, things wont be pretty for the back panel :mad:
