ORIGINALLY POSTED IN DISPLAY FORUM: I re-posted here as I discovered this board afterwards and it seems like a better fitting place to put it, plus due to lack of response in the other forum it was pretty obvious it was in the wrong place.

I am thinking of purchasing the following TV with a DVI input and connecting it to my PC (ATI X1300 Pro) as an alternate monitor, mostly for watching films.

The issue I have is that I am going to need about a 10m DVI cable for this and was worried about how the signal would manage. The cable I am currently looking at is this one. I would ideally like to output resolution at 1280x768. This wire will also run close to power cables / other cables and round a large metal radiator if it makes any difference. I don't really know what interferes with the signal so I am mentioning everything.

Also, I will be running 10m twin phono audio cables to my surround sound woofer, and even some of those will be going out from the woofer to other speakers in 10m lengths. As for these cables, I was hoping I could use standard cabling, nothing fancy but hopefully somebody could tell me whether this is the case? I have seen basic cables in these lengths being sold so I assume the signal carries that far?

I was also wondering if 3 wire RCA with video, left audio, right audio, each yellow white and red respectively, could be used just for audio, but using the yellow video cable for audio also? So effectively using it as a 3 channel audio cable, hence for my 6 channel output could I use 2 of these 3 wire RCA cables?

Any help would be great.

Thanks
