here is a pic of my system,, anyone have a suggestion to what else to do with the cables
i cant see anything else, but maybe somebody else can
the power supply is on bottom, and cables just do reach the board so i dont know how else to run them
 
I would ditch the rounded IDE cables for some nice black folded ones. The nice thing about traditional IDE cables is that they are easy to customize for exactly what you need.

Also, I dont much care for cables in tubing, I prefer to just hide the cables altogether. But you have already made that decision (and I don't even know hoe easy hiding cables is in that case, I've never worked with it)

Personally, it looks good. Better than most.

The truth is, even if you re-did everything and maybe reduced your cable footprint here and there, I doubt very seriously you are going to increase your air-flow.

I've seen some research in the past with and without round cables etc etc and they could not get a reading temp wise on the difference between the two. The test also included dust and a nightmare of cables with no difference period.

I wouldn't make any changes, Seal the case up and enjoy your computer.

really this is my first serious build,, ive built a bunch, but never really took certain stuff into consideration untill recently,,, like cable management,, usually just hook everything up and go,,, but was trying to do something with this one,,
really i dont know of any other way i could route the cables because of the length and how the case is made

my chipset seems to be running a little warm though
 
Aren't the wires on the PSU sleeved(er well, silver braided things anyway) from the factory? It might look cleaner without the black split loom.
The zip tied bundle at the top could be hidden behind the drive cage.
try some of this stuff... wire sleeve

I think your cable management looks great! More time could be taken to make things even prettier, however I doubt a tangible amount of improvement could be made.

HIDE THAT BUNDLE AT THE TOP!!! Seriously, push it into a 5.25" bay somehow!


Drill a big hole (a few inches round) in the panel behind the motherboard, and hide your main cables under the board (ESPECIALLY those fan cables!) and route them through the hole...

You'll probably have to extend them... but, because you have flexforce cables, you can fit quite a few under a motherboard when laid flat.
 
To be honest I think the current wiring job you have is perfectly fine. I doubt doing anything else will have a major impact on your system's thermal cooling.

Oh, and one thing I would recommend, is that if you do not have two fans of the same size as the two rear fans in the FRONT pulling air in as well, I suggest you take out one of the PCI-slot covers (below your 8800GTX), or maybe even two. Will definately help with your temps, although it may introduce a little bit of dust. ;)
 
1. Flat cables + cable folding.

2. Ditch the tubing, the wires will be much easier to tuck behind stuff without all that bulk. If you need to hold cables together, use cable ties.
 
holy crap! somebody got a really ugly psu that doesnt match any of your looming and left it in the bottom of your case!!
