Not quite sure where to post this but...

I'm wondering if anyone know of/if there even exists a cable that basically has an RCA plug on one end and the 2 conductor wires (for speakers) on the other.

Basically I'm looking to run from a subwoofer output (RCA) on a receiver to a shitty sub that only has the 2 conductor wire (typical audio cord) interface.

Get an rca cable and chop off one end of it. HOWEVER, there is a good chance that this will not work. That subwoofer output on your receiver is more than likely a line level output(since it is an rca jack and not speaker wire jacks) and the subwoofer is more than likely passive(since it has standard speaker wire jacks). In other words, you would be feeding a line-level signal to an unamplified subwoofer.

I'd really doubt that would work. You must have a passive sub [like a car sub perhaps?] so you'd need a separate amp, or you could dedicate a channel of your amp to powering your sub, but you'd still need a crossover unless you wanted to ruin your sub in a hurry [assuming it's a sub-in-a-box type car sub] That, and it would sound like trash =]

You could buy some say for example standard monster speaker cable and buy one of the rca connectors and make your own cable.

That is such a waste of money for something that probably isn't going to work.
