What is the cheapest and easiest device that takes in Cable TV, and outputs RCA, DVI or VGA? I have an LCD with no cable input, and I don't have a cable box with my cable TV.

Any ideas? Is there something like a cheap TIVO?

Thanks,
Jordan

Also, does anyone know if there is a way to take an old Time Warner Cable box and use it as a TV Tuner on a different provider? We get basic cable in, but do not pay for a cable box. I happen to have an old one around though.

no you cant. the cable boxes need to be registered with the cable co for them to work. cheapest way to do it, like valve said, is to plug it through your vcr. Should work on almost all vcrs.
