Cable Sleeving Question

I am fairly new to the whole case modding stuff and cable sleeving. I know how to do the sleeving and shrink wrapping and everything. The one that I don't know how to do is to sleeve the PSU to MOBO Power connector. For all of my 4 and 6 pin connectors I just sleeved the individual wire one by one. Should I just do the same thing with my PSU ---> MOBO connector? I was going to just take all the pins out and do one large sleeve but didn't want to with the number of wires and I didn't want to get them all mixed up and possibly damage any of my computer.

Please let me know.

Thank you much.

Remove one wire at a time and sleeve each cable separately. I find that as being the easiest and best way to ensure that I don't mix up any of the wires.

Alright. Thanks a lot that is what I will have to do then. I am thinking that I might be to lazy and just buy a psu with the sleeving already gone it.

Unfortunately there isn't a single psu sold that's individually sleeved. It's time consuming and generally not worth it for the manufacturer. You'd be far better off doing it yourself and getting the satisfaction of the work you do. Just make sure you use quality sleeving and the right heat shrink and you'll have good results. Also, get a good pin remover tool. Good tools pay for themselves. ;)

Ok. Any idea on good heat shrink and sleeving brands I should go with, as well as a good pin remover? Thanks again.

you can find psus sleeved already. they just dont sleeve each individual mobo connector wire, so theres like an inch before the connector that isnt sleeved. big deal. put some shrink wrap over it. personally i think that individually sleeved mobo connector wires are ugly. it makes the whole thing 5 times as big and it looks like a tarantula orgy. the whole idea is to make the wires LESS noticeable, not more.
