Cable modem next to TV?

*STUPID QUESTION ALERT*

I've always kept my PC components away from any home electronic stuff, dont ask why, just how it worked out. With a new layout I am doing I will be placing my cable modem and my router next to a rather old 32" Sharp TV. Will I get any sort of interference from the big TV?

I know I probably shouldn't even worry about it but I would just like to know if there could be any problems.

First off, it's not a stupid question........:cool:

All consumer electronics, especally communication products (cable boxes, cable modems, modems in general, ethernet cards, etc) all have to pass FCC radiated emissions tests, as well as "susceptability" tests, meaning they bomb the unit with RF (radio frequency) energy and it's expected to keep working.

Worst case, something may interfere with something else, and you may have to turn something 90 degrees / move things a foot or two. IMHO - no worries......

This is very true. I've auctually been inside Cisco's compliance testing labs in MA. IT was quite cool.
