I recentely just did my first build, I used the antec 1200 because of the space but choose the CORSAIR Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 750W power supply. The first problem I ran into is that I had to mount it upside down which puts all the cords on the wrong side and made things a little more difficult, I also had a tons of problems with cable management, the cords are bound together very nicely but are very thick, there is no way to really hide them behind the case. Also the 8 pin connect to the mother board is so sort that I have to run it pretty much right over my graphic card, I can't run it behind the case either.

I am wondering if there is maye a better power supply to use for cable management, one that you can actually only plug in what you need to use? I am thinking about trying to switch it out with new egg.

I am using the asus pro z68 mother board antec 1200 case and the i5 2500k if that helps. As always thank you for all your help

Just look for any power supply that is labeled 'modular.' You should see this as an option when doing an advanced or power search on newegg.

Modular definitely helps with cable management.

You can also get extension cables, so that you can run them behind the tray. NZXT makes some black sleeved ones as well.

Unless you want everything to look purdy, cable management isn't all that important. Just make sure they're not obstructing airflow and it's fine.

damn I wish I knew that before hand! what about CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-750HX 750W instead?
