C2D E6600 vs Xeon 3060

*E6600 is only $15 more
*3060 has 4M of L2 Cache instead of 2


Does anyone have 1 good reason why I shouldn't go with a Xeon 3060 ?
 
do they both perform the same???
you need a xeon mobo for a xeon cpu.
yes xeon are very atractive imo.
 
depending on what "xeon" mobo you buy, a xeon mobo can take 32gb or ram (that's a lot)
do a search on the processor for "xeon 3060 review"
it's a server processor, made for, 24h power on i think. they run cooler i think, on the newegg users review they say it is very good for ocing.
 
I think a better question is why go with E6600 when E6750 is cheaper and seems much better?

So, except for the slightly lower multi, E6750 is the obvious choice.
Also, the Xeon your looking at, E6600 and E6750 all have 4MB L2

they are both the same chip basically, get the xeon 3060 as its cheaper.
