C2D E6600 Temps

I installed Speedfan and Core Temp 0.95 to see how hot my bone stock E6600 was running on Artic Silver 3 & a Thermaltake V1 and I was confused about the temps.

Am I correct to understand that my E6600 at 2.4GHz is running ~30 celcius or am I looking at the wrong temp?

I don't know what to make of Temp 1,2,3 on Speedfan then...

Core1 and Core2 are your correct cpu temps. If your room is fairly cool, say ~23c to 25c, then your temps look correct. Read the other thread titled "C2D Temps Revisited"...tons of info in there....

haha...I was just gonna say/do the same thing...guess I'm a bit late though.

I really appreciate all the time that you and unclewebb put into that thread so far...it's been a huge help to myself.
