So my E8400 is stuck on 6X multi in XP, causing me to run at 2.67ghz constantly. It doesn't alternate between 6X / 9X. This is a fresh install of XP SP3. When I'm in In Vista, this works with no problems. I have the chipset drivers from Intel installed. What should I do?

disable ce1 i belive the name of it is. and disable speedstep

run priem95 or something of that and run cpu-z and see if it did not change if it did not disable ce1 and speedstep and see if it fix it
