Hi guys,
I'm trying the game over LAN and its superslow. There does not seem to be anything that adjusts the speed settings for network games. The computers can run the game fine but the game speed is so slow when playing over lan. How do you change the gamespeed in lan over a network game. Anyone know?

Wow, I have been playing the game literally since the day it came out. The ONLY time it has ever been slow is when someone else's PC is slow. It could be a firewall/port problem. Doubt it, but it could be.

What are the specs of the pc's you are playing on?. I had the same problem when playing against my brother. The game ran really slow. But as soon as he upgraded his gfx card from an old Radeon 8550 to a Radeon X1600XT the game sped up by leaps and bounds. Could just be that one of the pc's you are using is bottlenecking the game.

I've had the same issues.. not sure why it gets laggy with everyone and not just one person, and we have the best computer be the server.. No clue..

When I play over a LAN with my friends, there was someone playing on a laptop, and as soon as he disconnected, the game sped up. Check everyone, not just the person running the server.

Check the link speed and duplex option. Make sure everyone is on auto, or fixed... but not a mix of both. That can really trash network speeds.

C&C games have always had crappy lan coding speed. there isnt really much you can do about it.

The game can only run as fast as the slowest computer - otherwise you would have the faster person cranking out units before the slower person gets the first structure built.
