I will no longer purchase ball bearing HDDs.I'm so pleases with my Samsung fluid drives..they almost seem frictionless amd so quiet I need to watch the HHD led to see if it's running BUT..I can't find a sata 200g fluid drive..I'd prefer sticking to the Sam's
if possible,anyone have a good source?

The Seagate 7200.7 line, including the 200GB drive mentioned above has FDB (fluid-dynamic bearing).

The Western Digital JD is a ball-bearing drive, not FDB. If you want FDB you want a PB drive.

BB = 2MB cache, ball-bearing, 7200RPM, PATA
JB = 8MB cache, ball-bearing, 7200RPM, PATA
JD = 8MB cache, ball-bearing, 7200RPM, SATA
PB = 8MB cache, fluid-dynamic bearing, 7200RPM, PATA

I can't wait until a PD drive hits the market, FDB and SATA!

Also Maxtor's DiamondMax Plus 9 and MaxLine Plus II series; Hitachi's Deskstar 120GXP, 180GXP, 7K250, and 7K400 series; Seagate's Barracuda IV, Barracuda V.
