Buzzing hot computer?

Today was the hottest day yet this summer, and I have a tiny room with 3 machines in it. It is likley over 90F in here, and kinda humid. There was probably very little airflow directly around my cluster (they are less than 5 inches apart) of computers, and my main machine was buzzing rather loudly. I shut it down, stuck a rotating fan in front of the row, and waited about an hour. It now runs fine, but it was buzzing in the same way that really old hard drives do. I also noticed one of my other machines (an old Dell PowerEdge 300SC with an oldish WD 40GB in it) was making a little more noise than usual, but nothing like my desktop. Any inisght as to what happened here and/or how to prevent it from happening again? I pride my machiens at beign fairly quiet, so this has me freaking. Especially considering I am going to trust this computer with almost a TB of data in a month.

EDIT: The sound was so high pitched it was difficult to locate, so I am unsure what may have actually been causing it, but can rule out 2 fans and 2 HDs cooled by those fans. All of my HDs have a fan blowing over them, 2 are in enclosures, and 2 have an 80mm right in front of them. Video card was not excessivly hot, 56C. My proc temp sensor does nto work correctly, and I stupidly did not check SMART on all the drives. The exterior of the case was quite hot to the touch though.

Well, it now seems to be doing ti again. I can hear it over 2 big fans, and there is no absence of airflow. I guess I will have to drag it out and stat pulling things until It goes away. Damn it this sucks :(

Just confirmed, it is my damn CPU fan. Oh well, I was thinking of replacing it anyway. Ordering this monster tomorrow. I beleive it will fix my cooling problem, plus look like the shit doing it :)

One question though. This mounts with screws. How do I know when they are tight enough?

1/4 more turns than you think is necessary :). Honestly, just keep going until you'd need something else (like a wrench) to keep turning the nut.
