I am getting a lot of noise from the system through the front audio connectors in my TJ09 using the HD audio connector to either my X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E or the onboard audio from the DFI LP LT X48-T2R.
I have tried moving the cable around many different ways in the case and it has had no impact at all which leads me to believe it's not a shielding issue but rather more of a grounding issue. The sounds that I hear using pulse/tick when I move the cursor around in windows, or if there is a lot of graphical movement on screen. I tried pulling out the front audio connectors on a TT Armor case and using those, the problem went away completely.
Has anyone had this problem before and found a fix? My guess is if I pull apart that little box housing the audio connectors that there is something from the case in contact with the leads but I'm not sure if it might just be a design flaw and the housing for the 3.5mm jacks might be connected directly to the metal housing without any insulation.
