I am searching for the lowest price of Sennheiser HD 595,

newegg - - - -> 239$
Amazon - - - > 208$
Amazon - - - > 200$ (Used)

BTW, HD 595 in amazon in technical data had impedance 120 Ohms while in newegg
HD 595 has impedance 50 Ohm is it the same or there are two models of HD 595 ?
(since i going to drive it to Audigy2 zs sound card)

Do you recommand me to buy used HD 595, or buy a new to ensure working properly?

buying used cans are a great way to get them cheap and already burned in. You dont need to have wait a few days looping music in your closet before you can enjoy them. Depends on where you get them. HD595 come in 120ohm and 50ohm, the 120 is the older version. lower the impedence the better imo. If you shop around at smaller e-tailers you can find them for less than 180 new. A great place to find used ones are at head-fi fs forums. Chances are someone paying close to 200 bucks for cans doesnt leave em on the floor for their dog or toddler to play with.

If you're nit picking over 10-20$, get the darn things new. You get full warrenty, a brand new product, everything should be in mint condition.

Like I said before, you can order the HD595 at headphone.com for 199$, plus free fedex express shipping. New!
Just add them to the cart, and use the coupon code HD595.

Did you happen to get a chance to listen to the HD595 in person yet since last thread you made? I'm always interested to hear people's thoughts.

~Hope this helps

some HD 555's & HD 595's models have impedance of 120
Can I drive 120 Ohm to SB Audigy2 zs ??

if not, can anybody recommand me online shop of HD 555 or HD 595 with 50 Ohm ..?

For goodness sake, of course! Who told you otherwise? You should slap them with a big wet fish.

Try ebay too. Ebay is well under 200. Not to mention ebay has a coupon out to save you 10% off your next ebay purchase via paypal.

I would check out head-fi's sell forum for some good deals

An audigy 2zs is not designed to drive 120ohm impedence headphones. I noticed improvment amping my 50ohm models.....

Unless you have that in writing from Creative Labs........

No where in my Creative Lab documentation does it say "Note, the headphone output is not designed for headphones over 119ohms".

So , will 120 Ohm impedance works in Audigy2 zs ?
I have headphones that are 2x600ohm, and guess what. They work out of an audigy 2 zs.

WHo'da'thunk'it

Honestly, sometimes I believe people around here scare you into thinking certain things.

anything will work. Just won't be giving it its all.
Right, and to "give it its all" is not a direct function of impedence, its also dependent on the characteristics of each individual headphone.

Out of my receiver, my 32ohm DT231 require more volume to have the same sound levels as my 600ohm DT990pro. This alone should make you think "Hm, then there must be something else going on here, besides just the headphone impedence".

^_^

Life is good.

E-mail sent to Creative Labs developer relations. We'll see what they say is the nominal impedance for the headphone out
