gotta decide which way to go

i can get asus 2x8800GT for $234 each ($468)
currently running 1280x1024 res tho

or asus 8800GTS $325
or asus 9800GTX $383
or if im quick asus 8800GTX $499
 
either get one 9800GTX or get an Evga 8800GT and then step-up when the new GeForce arrives

just get an 8800GT for the price, thats too much of a price gap for the rest.
 
Wow, the austrialian money is worth alot. In the USA a 8800GTX sells for 299, and in some cases below that. I love my GTX, and would recommend that, but 499!!!! If your monitor only supports 1280x1024, a 8800GT is all you need, as anything else is pretty much over kill, but hey, since you "do work" we can afford overkill.
 
Can you not wait for the GTX 2x0 series that should be out in 16 days? Even the cheapest one will be 2-3x faster than an 8800GT.

lol some places the GTX is still worth $800 if not more

hmm yeah i guess i could wait. im told the 9900GTX and 9900GT wont be out til july tho
 
well ive sorted it, cos i need a card im just gonna buy one 8800GT then buy one of these new cards when they come out and then sell the 8800GT to a mate who's interested
