Buying memory

I'm going to buy the Asus 97- A mobo. I'm looking up which memory to buy using this:

I'm looking at the Gskill pc2400. Why is it all of them say discontinued on newegg/amazon?

I'm not sure which to get that is on this list.I usually go from the QVL bc I always tend to have memory issues.

Probably because they have discontinued those specific part numbers and released new part numbers.

I don't think I have ever bought RAM that was listed on a QVL list.. or at least not that I know of.

Any of the G.Skill DDR3-2400 kits should work just fine.
