this is for a work computer would like to keep it around 800 or less, without monitor. 1k or less with a 1080P monitor

pretty much looking for a deal like what I posted I guess

Did you check out the Dell Outlet page? Seeing as you're fine with refurbs, it's never a bad idea to explore your options.

I'm actually waiting on a deal to resurface. Just about a week ago, they had 30% off any outlet computer over 999, 25% off 500 (I think it was 500) to 998, and 20% for like 250 to 499. Also had another deal where any XPS 8500 (like what you linked) that was priced at 1085 was 550 off. The 1085 is actually still going on technically.. There just aren't any computers listed at that price.

Anyways, good luck, and here's a link if you were curious. https://www.dell.com/outlet/

And the coupon code for 550 off any XPS 8500 listed at 1085 is FWP3L2RQ5R1SS6. I'm not sure if you can add it still, but it expires on 6/1/2013. Happy hunting :)

thanks for the info, too bad the ones over 1085 don't work with that coupon...

I'm considering just building a computer instead for about $750, I just kind of don't want to deal with it for a work computer.

Buying new computers built by Dell/HP etc just doesn't seem worth it to me though.

Please answer the sticky questions if you want build help.

If you are buying a manufactured Dell, then I too suggest getting it from the Dell Outlet.
