Buying and selling

Here is what im thinking.Now tell me if im wrong,but I dont think I am.

The buying and selling forum needs to add a section for junk.Call it junk deals,that would be fine with me.

Heres how it would work.

Any videocard that is a 6800gt agp or above,any pcie card x1800xt or a 7900gt or better.
Any cpu 2 gig hertz or better.Motherboards would have to support atleast a 2gig processors or better.Hard drives 80 gig or bigger,for sata.60 gigs or better.Memory would have to be atleast ddr or better.Pratcial items like fan controllers,soundcards and cpu coolers,tv turners and everyday items could still be listed.The rest would have to hit the junk deals section,along with all other non computer items.

We should be able to edit the title as well.When you sell something in your title,it should then be deleted from it,or rewrote.So you could no longer use your title to catch someones eye to sell the rest of your items posted in the thread.

The idea of this post is not to make someone angry,but to bring to mind that most people cant use 10 4.1 gig harddrives,and who the heck would.To put it short.I can go to the dumpster and pick up most of the crap that on these for sell threads.Most people here are looking for good deals,and so am I,but im not looking to get good deals on junk items.

This is the Distributed Computing forums where we can use ANY piece of hardware we can for the science of solving cancer.You will find that we still need the 4.3gb harddives and the 6.4 ones too, for the Boxen that are using these hardware were usually put together for a few dollars and to maintain them, it isnt worth the money to put big money in them. We still need the 8mb video cards for they work well with Linux for the job we do.

The DC FS/FT is the place you can put any junk and still hope to get a few bucks. Most will want to get some cheap parts like video cards, CD drives, memory and harddisks to build a farm. Cheap processors and motherboards would work less well because those parts are usually what they try to get the best of them.
