Buying a x1900XTX...

I can get myself a brand new ATI x1900XTX for $350 (employee pricing). Is it worth spending that money or should I stick with my x850XT for now? I realize it's an amazing deal, but should I wait for DX10 cards to come out given my current card?
 
definitely worth it ,

in 6 months youll be able to sell it for the same price or near it

i want to know that too. i was thinking of getting one for a SN25P shuttle im building but it seems that it would get kinda warm in there with my opty :(. i also work @ BB, Geek Squad :cool:
 
I can play quake 4, with everything maxed except aa, have it at 8x and it doesnt really wind up at all. Before I hit post starting comp up, is the only time I ever hear it wind up. But rather quite card. I hardly ever notice it.
 


so beautiful!!! it looks a whole lot better in my case too. the fan IS a bit louder but i can deal with it.
 
well i ordered mine on friday and here it is almost thursday of the next week and when i login to the ATi page it doesnt show that it's shipped yet, though i call them and they assure me it has but cant get me a tracking number -.- damn ATi, better show up thursday afternoon
 
same thing happened 2 me. ordered last tuesday. they promised me a tracking # by monday morning nada, come tues morning i get a tracking # while at work and happen to find out that my order was over nighted free of charge.
yes it trully is rediculous how long it takes them to ship something out. but hey, u cant beat the prices :p
 
Actually I don't see how it can look good in that case beings how its upside down . I like the lian li v 1000's as you can truely see the top of the GPU's

Finally got my card in today, i ended up getting a tracking number via email about 30 minutes after the package arrived, LOL, what good does it do me now, anyway i dont mind getting the best card because it's cheap, even if there is something right around the corner i'll just sell this new card and buy that one, usually i end up paying minimal for upgrades to my video card
